Two associations representing telecommunications technology providers and sanitary supply manufacturers recently announced separate mergers, with both groups combining with smaller organizations.
The $8.5 million-revenue Telecommunications Industry Association in Arlington, Va., will merge with QuEST Forum, a Plano, Texas-based association representing companies that provide services for the information communication technology industry. QuEST Forum will become part of TIA under the agreement.
The $14 million-revenue International Sanitary Supply Association in Northbrook, Ill., will merge with the Workloader Benchmarking Alliance, a group that is an "educational resource for quantifying and disseminating ideas and practices for workloading labor," according to its website.
In the case of the TIA merger, the agreement "expands our ability to deliver member value across the full spectrum of business, technology and policy needs," TIA CEO Wesley Johnston said.
QuEST Forum CEO Fraser Pajak will take an executive role in TIA after the merger, expected to be completed later this year. He will report to Johnston. http://prn.to/2ybBYrw
The ISSA merger will allow both groups "to provide focused education and tools that facility service providers need to improve their operational efficiency," said Brant Insero, ISSA director of education, training, certifications and standards.
Further details about the merger were not released. http://bit.ly/2ymSdTv
